UFC 113 Expert Betting Picks
For true MMA purists, the Shogun Rua vs. Lyoto Machida fight is the most
anticipated UFC rematch of all-time. And now, it's only a few weeks away, as UFC
113 in Montreal is set to take place on May 8, 2010.
UFC fans will have a wide variety of interesting fighters to choose from when it
comes to their sports betting needs, as
several intriguing underdogs abound including the main event competitor Rua and
Paul Daley, one of the most feared strikers in the sport. Many UFC betting picks
will be placed on Machida, but Rua has a strong segment of backers as well.
Rua is the underdog despite the fact that many fans and fighters thought he won
the first fight including some who thought he won it in convincing fashion.
But his +160 odds going in make him a great UFC 113 betting pick value on May 8
compared with -200 odds for Machida in their light heavyweight championship
bout.
Expect Rua to win this one by virtue of his superior technical striking and his
desire to exact revenge on Machida in upset.
Paul Daley is another popular underdog bet for UFC 113 as he boasts some of the
best knockout power in the welterweight division.
Daley is an intriguing underdog pick as well at +200 odds to -260 for Koscheck,
but Koscheck's superior wrestling and jiu-jitsu will be all he needs to dispose
of the one-dimensional Daley.
Sam Stout and Jeremy Stephens will also stage an interesting battle on the
night, and it should be a stand-up war between two knockout artists.
Stout is a -200 favorite to +160 odds for Stephens and for good reason as he is
the more polished striker and all-around fighter. Stout should win this one with
ease if he fights smartly.
Internet phenomenon Kimbo
Slice also has his sights set on a win, and with identical -115 odds to his
opponent Matt Mitrione, he has a legit chance.
But Mitrione is a better athlete as a former NFL player and a bigger guy with
more power, which means a Mitrione win is likely at UFC 113.
UFC 113 picks don't get much harder than the first main card event on the
docket, however, as Patrick Cote will come back for the first time since
disappointing MMA betting fans by blowing out his knee against Anderson Silva at
UFC 90. Cote has a better chin and more power than his opponent Alan Belcher
which should lead him to a slight UFC 113 upset.
Fighter fans know that Cote has the ability to stand in with the best from the
Silva fight and Belcher will be another challenge. But he can overcome Belcher's
muay thai skills with his boxing ability and heart.
UFC 113 betting picks: Patrick Cote, Matt Mitrione, Sam Stout,
Josh Koscheck, and Shogun Rua.
