easiest ways to get going:
- Use the new "Just Scrap" button.
Simply on to your
account, then click on the "Fighter Directory" link. From there you can click

to all fighters in the database. The fighters that have issued public challenges
will have a link in the right-most column challenging you to "Accept this Fighter's
Existing Challenge". You can then accept the fight by clicking "save" on the following
window. Note that you will not see the link to accept the fighter's challenge unless
you have logged into the application.
-
Issue your own public challenge. By
issuing a public challenge, you are allowing any fighter to schedule a fight with
you. Simply log on to your account, then click "Manage Fighters", click "View" to
pull up the details on any of your fighters, then click "Create Public Challenge".
You can then set a number of options, including when the fights can be scheduled.
If you do not care when the fights take place, simply select "Fight ASAP" in the
challenge date drop down box and click "Save" to issue the public challenge. At

Q: I fought to a draw in a tournament
match and my opponent advanced. WTF?
A: Per tournament rules, if a match results in a draw, the fighter with
the better seeding advances.
Q: I registered for a tournament before it was full, but in the end, I was left out of the tournament. WTF?
A: Premium Members have tournament selection priority,
which means that their fighters will have priority over other fighters when the number of fighters exceeds the tournament
maximum. Chances are that Premium Subscribers were selected ahead of your fighter(s).
Q: What timezone does the game use?
A: The game's dates and times are currently based on Pacific Time.
Q: Is there a limit to the amount of times you can retire and/or come out of retirement?
A: Yes, each fighter can come out of retirement a maximum of three times. We do not tolerate the Brett Favre condition.
Q: What happens if a tournament does not fill by the tournament start date?
A: The tournament will be postponed until the tournament fills. Once the tournament fills, the tournament will begin.
Q: Why do I expernience clock issues, where the clock is at 00:00, yet the match continues?
A: If you experience this issue, chances are that you've hidden the match in the background of other
windows for a period of time. Flash tries to conserve CPU usage while in the background, and therefore
causes some sync issues with the animation and clock. To prevent this issue, simply keep the match in
the foreground. If you want to run multiple matches at a time, try to keep each window visible and it
should be ok. Worst case, you can re-load the page; if your match is still in progress, it will re-sync
your match and clock, and if your match is done, it will replay it from the beginning.
Q: How is a fighter's age determined?
A: As in real-life, a fighter can begin his MMA career at almost any age.
Thus, your fighter's initial age will vary; some will start their careers early
in life, while others may get a late start in MMA. Regardless of the
starting point, all fighters age at a 7:1 ratio, meaning that each fighter ages
7 days for every real-life day. This means that in this
game, your fighter ages seven times as fast as you do.
Q: My premium subscription expired. Why do I no longer have access to my fighters?
A: When a premium subscription expires, all fighters are placed in a temporary retirement status. There are a variety of reasons for this, which we won't get into here. However, this does not prevent you from creating additional fighters. Once premium subscription is renewed, you will once again have access to all fighters. This temporary retirement status does not count towards the maximum retirement limit.
Q: What happens when your site goes down?
A: Unfortunately, there are times when the site goes down. When this occurs, we will redirect the domain to our backup site. However, until we redirect the domain, you can go directly to the backup site at any time by accessing theFlyingKnee.NET via your web browser. This site is a slightly different format, however.
Q: I noticed there is a difference between the number of fighters allowed and the maximum number of retirements on theFlyingKnee.Com vs the Facebook app. Is this intentional?
A: Yes. There is a little more offered on theFlyingKnee.Com.
Q: I created a fighter with a wrestling fighting style, but he gets taken down easily by boxers and other "stand up" styles - WTF?
A: Any fighter can declare himself a wrestler, a muay thai fighter, a jiu jitsu practicioner, etc. However, this represents the base style, and does not automatically make the fighter a "black belt" equivalent in their fighting style. The fighter must train to attain "black belt" status; do not expect to create a Jiu Jitsu fighter and start choking out your opponents in your first fight.
Q: Ok, so what's the purpose of the fighting style if it doesn't automatically make you a "black belt"?
A: As usual, we don't want to give out too much information here, but it does have an effect on various aspects of the game.
