They wanted it, and now they have it. Following a long campaign on Twitter and in the media, middleweights Chris Leben and Wanderlei Silva have hooked up a meeting at UFC 132. UFC 132 takes place July 2 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and features a long-awaited rematch between UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz, and the only man to ever beat him, former WEC champ Urijah Faber.

For a guy who built a career on fighting anybody, anywhere, anytime, Wanderlei Silva is proving incredibly difficult to schedule. UFC president Dana White said he's trying to book a rematch between Silva and Vitor Belfort - a fight "The Phenom" has verbally agreed to - but "The Axe Murderer" is holding out for a bout with Chris Leben. White admitted he's a little shocked by Silva's actions, especially considering he already turned down a UFC 130 fight with Brian Stann because he didn't want to face a U.S. military hero.

LAS VEGAS - As far as pre-fight storylines go, the UFC 125 matchup between middleweight sluggers Chris Leben and Brian Stann appears pretty cut and dry. Take Leben, an oft-troubled and always outspoken slugger, and pair him with Stann, a Silver Star-winning U.S. Marine known as the "All American," and you've got a clear good vs. evil scenario. But Leben thinks MMA pundits and fans have been too quick to draw the obvious conclusion. After all, life isn't always that simple.

UFC middleweight Chris Leben reportedly was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant. That's according to Hawaii News Now, which reported Leben lost control of his pickup track before crashing into a wall in Honolulu. Leben, who's currently enjoying a career resurgence and three-fight win streak in the UFC, recently was announced for the Jan. 1 UFC 125 card, where he meets Brian Stann.

"The Axe Murderer" on Friday told fans at a Fan Expo Q&A session that he was eyeing a return to action as soon as February. And while an opponent has not yet been secured for his next fight, Silva said he's got a list of idea in his mind that includes Chris Leben, Vitor Belfort and Chael Sonnen.
