"The Ultimate Fighter 13" has yet to debut on Spike TV, but the season's live finale is already official. UFC executives today announced The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale event will take place June 4 at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. In addition to the final fight of the upcoming season's welterweight tournament, The Ultimate Fighter Finale 13 card also features a handful of contests previously reported by MMAjunkie.com, including Clay Guida vs. Anthony Pettis.

Anthony Pettis soon will make his UFC debut against standout Clay Guida, according to UFC president Dana White. White confirmed reports that the lightweight matchup is in the works, though he declined to pinpoint a date for the fight. "It's a fight we're working on," he said during a conference call in support of "UFC Fight Night 23: Fight for the Troops 2."

A lightweight matchup between final WEC champ Anthony Pettis and fellow contender Clay Guida is in the works for UFC 130 in May or UFC 131 in June. UFC 130 include lightweight champ Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vs. Thiago Silva, and Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson, while UFC 131 is slated for June 11 in Vancouver.

But following his UFC 125 win over Takanori Gomi at Saturday's pay-per-view event in Las Vegas, Guida said that's just the tip of the iceberg. While Guida is known for putting on some of the most exciting fights in the UFC, "The Carpenter" said that's simply not enough. He's focused on a title, and he believes he can get there before the end of the year.
