Cub Swanson hopes to use Plan A to perfection in WEC 41 bout with Jose Aldo (6/5/2009 3:45:00 PM)
It's a bout that could determine the next challenger for the WEC's 145-pound title, and one that nearly had a little controversy to boot. When Cub Swanson (13-2 MMA, 3-1 WEC) learned he would face Jose Aldo (14-1 MMA, 4-0 WEC) at Sunday's "WEC 41: Faber vs. Brown," he said it was "an honor to fight an opponent who thinks of himself so highly." While that little jab could have fueled a heated exchange, Swanson said he hasn't allowed emotion to play any part in his preparation.

Cub Swanson Returns to the Big Time after ‘Mid-Life Crisis’ (6/3/2009 8:58:00 AM)
Frank Curreri, WEC - He is, in many ways, the forgotten man in the WEC's featherweight division. Search high and low and you will not find his name in any Top 10 rankings. At one point he boasted a stellar 12-1 record, but a 35-second loss to Jens Pulver decimated his stock, meaning he had officially squandered the biggest opportunity of his career. From there the downhill slide only got worse for Cub Swanson.
