It stung, but with Saturday's fight taking place close to home, the Dayton-area gym owner's students and friends could make the trip to Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, to see him fight. But following a quick 44-second submission win over Billy Vaughan, Gurgel said he's ready to make a permanent return to TV fights.
