Although Seth Petruzelli and Ken Shamrock’s scheduled March 6 bout in Mexico fell by the wayside, the UFC veterans are now set to co-headline the April 22 offering from Florida-based promotion World Extreme Fighting -- albeit in separate fights.

UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock quietly was on his way to his third win in four fights until a knee injury halted the 46-year-old fighter. Shamrock used a right cross to knock down KOTC heavyweight veteran Mike Bourke at Thursday's "KOTC: Platinum" event in Durban, South Africa. However, Shamrock injured his leg during a scramble and ultimately was forced to surrender the TKO in the second round of the headliner.
Alessio, Carneiro, Shamrock, High, Linhares and Beebe among weekend winners (10/18/2010 8:15:00 PM)
A variety of notables were in action this past weekend, and winners included John Alessio, Roan Carneiro, Ken Shamrock, Jason High, Lucio Linhares and Chase Beebe. The fights took place in organizations around the world. Many, though, came from Saturday's Ultimate Glory event in the Netherlands, where the first round of the organization's eight-man welterweight "World Series" tournament kicked off.

Ken Shamrock doesn’t believe he should stop fighting. In fact, he says his lack of success over the last few years is at least partially due to not fighting enough.
