When Tachi Palace Fights 8 fighter Kyle Griffin decided to set his business degree aside in order to compete in mixed martial arts, his family probably shouldn't have been surprised. After all, his older brother - 12-time UFC veteran Tyson Griffin - had already chosen the same path. Not to mention, the two had been sparring partners since childhood. "I would pick the fight, and he was a little bigger than me and ended the fight," the younger Griffin told MMAjunkie.com Radio. "I did suckerpunch him a couple of times pretty good. Those are my proudest moments."

While a victory at this weekend's UFC 118 event would mean a long-awaited shot at the lightweight title would be next for Gray Maynard, the Xtreme Couture product isn't focused on his chance at the belt. Instead, Maynard says he's only thinking about opponent Kenny Florian. And while the mild-mannered wrestling ace admits his "one fight at a time" approach to his career may be one reason Frankie Edgar leapfrogged him for a shot at the belt, Maynard says he's not changing.
